In a display of chivalry, you take the blame for the accursed defilement of the fishbowl. Everyone boos you and someone even throws a water bottle at you.
Oh well, you'll take the ridicule because you can see Heather sighing in relief. Maybe she'll want to be with you forever after such a selfless act.
Eventually, the crowd leaves, and, as the day draws to a close, you and Heather find yourselves back at the apartment complex. Your heart starts beating fast again, just like before, in anticipation. Was she impressed?
"Umm, Default, I wanna thank you for that today," Heather says, reaching into her pocket for her key. Apparently you two are in adjacent apartments. Sweet!
"It's just..." You can tell by the tone of her voice that this isn't a good thing. "I don't wanna be seen around the guy who barfed in a fishbowl at the aquarium, so...yeah. We're never gonna see each other again."
An arrow pierces your heart as the door of her apartment closes behind her. And, on top of that, you're still locked out of your apartment.
